Bottles of my syrups, made by hand in small batches in my kitchen in Daylesford, and packed into one box for Christmas.
Every box holds up to six flavours, packed at random, so you won't know exactly which flavours you've got until you open it. Keep a few for your own enjoyment and share the rest around.
Over ice with mineral water is the simplest way to enjoy them, which on a hot Christmas afternoon is about all anyone wants. They're also good with gin and soda, poured over ice cream or porridge, or stirred through yoghurt.

The art of tablescaping with Natasha Morgan at Oak Lane & Co
In August, Carla and Simon opened the whole of Oak Lane & Co to a small group for The Winter Table, and every antique vessel and length of old linen in the shop became ours to style with for the morning. On Monday 16 November they're opening the doors again, this time for the festive season.
Natasha will arrive with armfuls from the garden. Some of it is the red-stemmed dogwood she cut back from the northern verge at Little Cottage on a Hill in the big spring chop and kept for exactly this, because nothing in her garden goes to waste if she can help it when it’s as beautiful as this. The rest will be whatever the garden and the country lanes around Daylesford are offering in late spring.
For one morning, Oak Lane & Co on Piper Street is your styling library: antique Australian, English and French furniture, old linen, silver, ceramics and glass, all there to handle, choose and arrange. Together, Natasha, Carla and Simon will show you how to build a festive table that feels generous and abundant, and how to make it again at home with what you already have.
Across the morning, you will
Learn how Natasha composes a table, drawing on a lifetime in gardens and her time working in floristry and events
Choose your own pieces from the Oak Lane & Co collection to style and curate with
Work with branches, foliage and flowers from Natasha's garden, and learn how she conditions them so they last
Build a complete festive table inside the shop, and leave knowing how to make one at home
Create your own festive wreath to take home

For as long as I can remember, I have tended a productive garden. From childhood veggie patches to the abundant landscapes of Oak and Monkey Puzzle, growing has always grounded me and shaped how I see the world. This workshop draws from that lived experience.
Whether you're working with a courtyard, a veggie patch or a larger garden, this is about creating a productive space that offers both beauty and abundance.
We explore what productive gardening really means. I share how my process has evolved across very different properties—Oak and Monkey Puzzle and Little Cottage on a Hill and for the first time, Stonewalls—blending hands-on learning with thoughtful intent.
We cover soil care, compost systems, green manures, vertical growing, chickens, worms and closed-loop cycles. You’ll see how I use wicking beds as productive, water-wise microclimates, and how I approach different soil types and site conditions.
We talk about heirlooms and hybrids, perennial and medicinal layers, espalier techniques, and the role of beauty in even the most functional plantings.
This is not a technical how-to on growing food. It is a practical and inspiring session on preparing and shaping a garden that is generous, resilient and connected to place. You’ll leave with tools and ideas to help you begin.
Time: 10.00am - 1.00pm
Dates:
Saturday 7th November 2026
Sunday 10th January 2027
Location: Daylesford, Victoria
Whether you're starting from scratch or reshaping an existing space, this half-day garden design workshop invites you to see your garden differently. From the structure of the land up, this is not a plant-by-plant session. It is a place to think like a landscape architect and begin shaping your dream garden with clarity and purpose.
Together, we’ll explore the fundamental principles that guide thoughtful garden design. You’ll learn how to observe and respond to the unique conditions of a site, and how to work with what already exists to support the kind of space you want to create. We’ll talk about how to create rhythm, balance and a sense of flow in the garden. Not through formulas, but through a practice of observation, clarity and intention.
Using tracing paper and bold textas, you’ll begin a layered, iterative design process based on Natasha's own garden. A technique that prioritises experience over detail. This isn’t about where your grandma’s rose will go. It is about learning to see the bigger picture, and how to design in a way that brings coherence and life to your space.
You’ll leave with the tools to create your own garden brief, a new approach to site mapping and design thinking grounded in landscape architecture, and a renewed way of seeing and shaping your garden. No matter its size or complexity.
We draw from real projects such as Oak and Monkey Puzzle and Little Cottage on a Hill, and explore how to reimagine constraints as creative opportunities. There is also a guided tour of Little Cottage on a Hill, where we see how theory comes to life in a compact space.

The Plastic Free Garden — A Gentle Guide to Gardening with Less Plastic
A GENTLE GUIDE TO GARDENING WITH LESS PLASTIC, FOR WHATEVER SEASON YOU ARE IN
Most of us did not come to gardening to think about plastic. We came for the smell of tomato leaves, the first sweet pea, the stillness of an evening with a watering can. The plastic crept in around the edges — the pots, the trays, the little labels, the netting that somehow outlives the crop it was meant to protect.
The Plastic Free Garden is a 29-page ebook about using less of it. Not a lecture, and not a call to throw everything out and start again — just the swaps that work, the ones that are worth it, and the few that are easier than you might think.
Read it in one sitting, then come back to it one swap at a time.
Nature Strip Gardens: Fundamentals for Beautiful, Compliant Verges
DESIGNING GENEROUS, SAFE VERGE GARDENS WHEREVER YOU LIVE
If you've ever looked at the strip of grass out the front and felt it could be doing more, this little guide is for you.
Nature Strip Gardens: Fundamentals for Beautiful, Compliant Verges is a free, 39-page ebook by Natasha Morgan and Donna Livermore. It came out of our first local verge workshop in Hepburn Shire — an afternoon of people standing on their own strips of grass, working out what their council actually allowed, and what they actually wanted.
This isn't a comprehensive manual. It's a fundamentals guide: something you can read in one sitting, then return to as you decide what you want your verge to hold.
